Hister is an independent indie artist — the musical identity of Eliran Dror, a singer-guitarist and songwriter. His musical journey began in 2006 as part of "Low Profile" (פרופיל נמוך), a band that operated within the local scene and was defined by its direct, honest, and uncommercial approach to creation.

The band's lineup included Eliran Dror (vocals and guitar), Nissim Vaknin (drums and backing vocals), Reut Gogold (trumpet), Roy Shlomo (electric guitar), and Rotem Hagoel (bass guitar). Together they crafted a distinctive sound that moved between indie-rock and acoustic and experimental influences, with an emphasis on collaborative work, intensive rehearsals, and home recordings.

After years of activity and personal growth, Hister continued to refine his artistic voice as an independent creator. In 2023, he began working on his debut album — a process that unfolds at a precise and deliberate pace, driven by a desire to preserve emotional depth and authenticity alongside meticulous musical production.

The debut album is produced by Or Bahir, who also contributes as a guitarist and bassist. The production and recordings also feature Adam Sheflan (bass), Ran Jurgenson (drums), Nadav Hoshea (drums), and Ido Zelznik (keyboards). Or Bahir and Adam Sheflan previously played in "Eatliz", Ran Jurgenson was part of "Infection" and "People", and Nadav Hoshea has collaborated with leading artists including Arkadi Duchin, Eran Tzur, and Rockfour. These collaborations create a broad musical envelope, blending intimate rawness with contemporary production.

Hister's music expresses an ongoing process of searching and maturing, moving between raw emotion and precise arrangement. The debut album, currently in the works, reflects a personal and musical journey built over years — from humble beginnings in a band to a cohesive independent creation.
